We've had this school play thing the last days. We had the premiere yesterday and our second performance today (and the last one is tomorrow), and we've had rehearsals all the weekend, so that's why I haven't been very active here the last week or so. From next week on I think I'll be able to catch up a little bit again though.
And for those of you that don't really know what a revue is, or if a revue is something different in Norway than in other countries; it's a play with sketches, dances and songs (people usually rewrite already well-know songs). It's supposed to be fun and school revues also often make fun of the school and it's teachers, to mention some things. School revues are really big in Oslo and the area around, and it's a lot of prestige to manage to make the best and funniest school revue, some schools use a lot of money to hire in writers, coreografs, directors and everything in order to make the "best" revue. They usually also have lots of people working back stage, make-up, costume-makers, revue party planners, absolutely everything.
But our school isn't like most of the other schools

Our fantastic revue group consist of as many as 16(!) people, over half of them joined the group just because they had to have another optional subject. We'e made everything ourselves, we do everything ourselves, it's a revue by the students to the students, and it's actually not too bad (even though everything might seem a bit amateurish), at least people laughs and that's the point

Some pictures from the revue (and nope, I'm not in any of them, or well, I'm actually in the last one, doing my fantastic warming up thing sketch, it's more embarrasing to look at the picture now than to actually do that on stage

)
