Artist's Comments

Same view and taken the same day as Dreamscape, but different format, and completely different editing.

Picture taken just outside Drøbak, Norway.

Post-processing
Made two different raw edits on the picture, one for the grass and the tree, and one for the sky. I lightened and turned up the contrast and vibrance a bit on the grass, and I turned down the exposure and turned up the contrast a bit on the sky.

Added a blurred version of the picture and set the blending mode to soft light. Applied the effect only on the grass and the tree.

Added two different curves layers, one only for the grass and one for the tree. Added a black and white layer set to multiply (70%) and one set to soft light (45%). Added a black and white layer set to hard light (35%) only on the sky.

FAQ #234: How can I get more pageviews?
:iconsamedi:
I agree with whoever said the colours were a bit intense. I like the subtlety of the other one better. The square crop is nice tho.

The sky is kinda cool tho...mebbe just lower sat on the ground and tree a bit?

nice colours and composition

I love the intense colours, but I fear that when I get back home to my, a tiny bit too bright, imac screen, I will agree with you
:iconkvikken:
I think it definately might be a bit too much on some screens...but on mine I think it looks perfect. Why can't all screens just look the same ?
