Post-processing: Adjusted the levels, added an extra adjustment layer (levels) for the eyes. Added black and white layers set to screen and overlay at 40 and 60% opacity and turned in to black and white with the maximum white filter and a hint of sepia. Cropped. I like your choice not to remove the imperfections (such as the 'eye boogers' and goop around the nose area)...to me it really adds to the photograph. It's kind of makes me sad.
