Machu Picchu, Peru. A panorama stitched together of about 15 pictures. The last pictures I took before we left the site and took the bus back to Agua Calientes (the closest city to Machu Picchu). I'm so glad we didn't realize that the bus cost 7 dollars and not 7 soles before we were actually paying for the bus and got a lot less change back than we expected. I don't think my feet would have managed walking, with all those high steps, back down again!

Great panorama! The extra you can capture in a panorama really adds spectacularly to an already fabulous photo. :-)

wow! this is so stunning!
it's a place i've always wanted to visit. thanks to your picture i can get a really good impression of the whole place, so great!
and the best thing is that it's not the typical shot of Machu Picchu. until now i've only ever seen the same view of it...
the mountains have such awesome shapes!

It's a really beautiful place, even though it's crammed with people (if you do go there one day, get up really early and walk from the nearby town to macchu picchu, it's so much more magical than taking the bus :aww:)

I would probably just have taken the same view picture of Macchu Picchu as everyone else if it hadn't been for the fact that my feet were killing me, and I thought the viewpoint was further up than it actually was. But I had to have at least one panorama of the place so I took it just before we left the ruins. Some times really good things comes out of coincidences :XD:

Thank you so much for sharing this great piece of art. Can't decide which one of your travel i should take. Feeling this is one which included a lot of work but pleasure. In the end this marvelous result came out. I had to feature it in my current Journal:

Taking the Salktantay-trek to Machu Picchu is one of the most amazing and memorable things I have done in my life. Even though I was so tired that I didn't feel like going up to the point where absolutely everyone takes the mandatory picture of Machu Picchu (which resulted in this picture in stead :XD:) .

And thank you so much for the feature
