A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures (CS3 did the whole job during a minute or so, better than I could do with hours of work on my first pano ).
It was about 50cm of new powder snow (and even more snow beneath that) and my brother and I went up walking with snowshoes [link] for the first time in our life ( we sank deeper in the snow than we would have expected...). We used about 1 1/2 hour on a trip that usually takes about 30 minutes. You can say it was like running up a hill with high knee lifts while having weights on your feet or something, extremely hard work at least But it was definately worth it!
Post-processing: Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
